Guitarist and composer of multiple styles of music, combining acoustic instruments with electronic ones, synths and computer generated sounds.
I was born in Italy, I am currently living in London. I started to play guitar when I was 17; during those years I learned the fundations of rock and blues, while playing as a rhythm and lead guitarist in different bands.
More recently, my efforts have been directed towards the creation and recording of original pieces, blending my earlier influences with different timbres and sounds.
Paper Sunflowers is the first single taken from the all-instrumental LP Forbidden Latitudes, to be released on May 30, 2013.
An acoustic and several electric guitars were recorded on the track. The drums, bass, keyboards, vibraphone, strings and horns are all generated through synths, via a keyboard.
Forbidden Latitudes revolves around the tone and melodies of the guitar, embracing genres from rock-blues to jazz-fusion, with a palette of sounds spanning from cutting, distorted solos to softer and more intimate acoustic vibes. Plenty of space is reserved for synthetizers, keyboards and other instruments.
Streets of My Hometown is the 2nd track of the LP; it's an acoustic ballad, featuring african percussions, clean guitars, marimba and horns. Subversive Currents is a faster track, with dynamic contrasts, dense of effects and distortion.
